Telehealth

Through telehealth, we treat nearly all conditions we treat in the clinic. Telehealth is particularly good for helping you adjust your posture and movement patterns so you feel less pain while doing things like telecommuting, cleaning your home, or working in your garden. Unlike during treatments in the clinic, we can see you in your natural environment. The biggest setback of telehealth is obvious. We cannot provide hands-on therapy through the computer.

Orthopedic / Sports Medicine

Physical therapy is provided for a wide range of orthopedic and sports related injuries. Conditions such as tendonitis, bursitis, joint sprains, muscle strains, neck and back pain are commonly treated. Post surgical rehabilitation following joint replacements, tendon and ligament repairs, and following spine surgery are frequently seen. We provide rehabilitation for patients of all ages with both new and chronic conditions. Our therapists regularly attend continuing education seminars to further develop their clinical expertise to provide you with the latest and most effective treatment techniques available for your orthopedic condition. Lymphedema

Lymphedema is an abnormal swelling of a body part, and currently affects 3 million Americans. It occurs when the lymphatic system, a part of your immune system, becomes insufficient and unable to perform its normal function of adequately draining lymph fluid. The swelling is an accumulation of protein-rich fluid, in the superficial tissues. It usually occurs in an arm or a leg, but it may also affect the face, trunk or genitals. Without proper treatment this protein- rich swelling can cause complications such as progressive hardening of the affected tissues, infections or massive swelling.

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is a ligament inside your knee that criss crosses with your Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL) between the thigh and shin bone. The ACL provides stability to the leg especially during knee extension (straightening) and rotation type movements.

At Back in Motion Physical Therapy we are here to help you maximize your athletic performance. We provide musculoskeletal assessments to determine if you have any deficiencies in: muscular strength and endurance, trunk control, muscular balance, joint mechanical alignment and mobility, static and dynamic balance, cardiovascular endurance and speed. We utilize Gray Cooke PT’s Functional Movement Screen to determine your present risk for noncontact injuries. The NFL utilizes this screen during the preseason combine.
