Kim graduated from the University of Miami Physical Therapy program in 1989 with a Master’s of Science. Kim began working at Back in Motion in March 2014. Prior to joining us she worked in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics, nursing homes, and home health care. She has a wide array of experience in the afflictions facing our aging population. Kim holds a Maitland Certificate of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, (COMT). Maitland-is an Austrailian manual therapy approach developed by Geoff Maitland, used to treat and manage diseases and impairments. She also holds a Certification for Direct Access which allows her to evaluate patients without the need of a prescription from a physician. Kim has a professional interest in working with orthopedics, pre- and post-surgical, all types of sprains and strains, and geriatrics. She enjoys working with athletes and runners using video analysis for movement dysfunctions— In her spare time Kim coaches youth sports and spends time with her husband and 3 children. Health and Fitness have become a true passion for her and she spends time biking, hiking, golfing, and weight lifting. She also volunteers as an Officer in the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
