Brauna Carl PT, DPT

Brauna believes that movement is medicine! She became a physical therapist to help others find the individualized movement prescription to optimally nourish body, mind, and spirit.

Brauna earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, in 2017. Since graduation, she has taken advanced education courses in osteoporosis care, visceral manipulation, and pelvic health.

Brauna is and always has been passionate about physical fitness, mind-body wellness, nutrition, and injury prevention. Brauna was a competitive gymnast as a child and teen, and a NCAA Division I cross country and track athlete in college. She has been a yoga teacher for nearly 20 years, and a group fitness instructor for more than 10 years. She still teaches group fitness classes in her free time, and recently became certified in Pilates reformer. Brauna has faced injuries and chronic medical conditions and knows both how challenging and how necessary it is to stay active.

Brauna holds a Master of Arts in English from University of Maryland in College Park and a Bachelor of Science in English from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. She lives with her husband and two sons in Springfield, Virginia.
